The pilot scheme of Creative Youth Initiative against Corruption (CYIaC) which was flagged off October 4, 2016 in Abuja has entered a crucial phase with registration for the Lagos Pilot project expected to end in a week’s time.
According to Foluke Michael, Project Director, entries for the creative writing contest which is a major aspect of the Lagos project will close on October 30.
“The creative writing contest is open to children and youths in primary and secondary school within Lagos State. All entrants must be between ages 9 to 14 years; registration closes on the 30th of October 2016. The interview and creative presentation will take place in the month of November 2016,” she said.
She further disclosed that another aspect of the project, the Lagos School programme, tagged ‘Creative Conversation and Awareness Against Corruption’ is scheduled to take place in the ancient town of Badagry, Lagos.
“It’s scheduled to take place in Badagry Town hall on the 31st of October 2016 by 11am. Over 50 schools, teachers, parents and education stakeholders will be represented at the event,” she said.
