Last week, the Nigerian stock market closed in red after a largely bearish session on Friday of -0.44 percent, leaving the benchmark index finish 1.34 percent in the red, its third consecutive w/w decline.

For analysts at Vetiva Research, with sentiment still largely bearish at the end of last week, they expect the market to open on a negative note today.
