A meeting of the board of directors of Nigerian Breweries Plc has been fixed for Friday, April 20, 2018 in Lagos.
During the meeting, members of the board will look into the company’s unaudited financial statements for the period ending March 31, 2018.
A statement signed by the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, Uaboi Agbebaku, disclosed that after looking into the firm’s earnings for the said period, the board will then approve the documents and then forwarded to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
“We hereby notify the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that a meeting of the board of directors of our company is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2018.
“One of the items on the agenda for the meeting would be to consider and approve the unaudited financial statements of the company for the period ending March 31, 2018,” the brewer said in the statement.
As a result of this, Nigerian Breweries has announced a closed period for trading of its shares on the stock exchange until the results are released to the investing public.
“Further, please be informed that the company’s closed period will commence on Friday, March 30, 2018 and will continue until, at the earliest, Friday, April 20, 2018 when the said unaudited financial statements are planned to be submitted to the NSE,” it said.
