Unity Bank Appoints Hafiz Bashir as Director

Mr Hafiz Mohammed Bashir has been announced as a non-Executive Director of Unity Bank Plc, a tier two lender in Nigeria.

The appointment of Mr Bashir was approved by the board of the financial institution with the notification made formally to its shareholders through the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday, December 4, 2017.

Mr Bashir is an accomplished professional with vast experience in public and private sector. He retired at the apex of Local Government Administration in Katsina State in 1992 and has chaired the Board of many companies, including Fiztom International Ltd, Hafad Global Resources Limited and Fiziks Nigeria Limited.

The appointee, who is currently in private business holds, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi; Advance Diploma in Public Administration from University of Jos; Higher Diploma in Local Government Administration, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria; and Diploma in Insurance from ABU, Zaria.

He is also currently undergoing a Masters programme in Business Administration at the Business School of the Netherlands.
