Managing Director of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, Mr Norbert Bielderman, has notified the firm that he would be leaving at the end of August 2017.

A statement issued in Lagos by NAHCO and dated May 17, 2017, disclosed that following the three months’ resignation notice given by Mr Bielderman, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) have been duly notified of replacing him according to the NAHCO’s “well laid-down succession planning process.”

However, the board of NAHCO has approved the immediate appointment of Mrs Folashade Ode as the new Acting MD/CEO of NAHCO Energy, Power and Infrastructure (EPI).

Mrs Ode, who is former ED, Legal, Risk and Subsidiary Services, is expected to further drive NAHCO’s diversification process using the platform of the new company, EPI.

Mr Bielderman joined NAHCO Aviance in May 2010 and was appointed Executive Director, Operations on December 6, 2013. He was later named the Acting MD/CEO in October 2014 before he was confirmed for the same position in April 2015.

Also, Dr Faruk Umar has retired from the firm’s board and has been replaced by Sir Sunny Nwosu.

Dr Umar, who was the director representing minority shareholders on the board, was appointed on June 22, 2011.
