FG Pledges Support for Farmers

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Audu Ogbeh recently held a meeting with members of the Foundation of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria led by its Chairman, Board of Trustees as well as Senate Committee Chairman on Agriculture, Mr Abdullahi Adamu.

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister applauded the Agric Show initiative and pledged the full support of the ministry and partnering local and international agencies/organization to make the show a great success and the biggest Agric Show in the history of the event.

During the meeting, the foundation shared the planned activities for the show to include road shows, cooking competitions, exhibitions etc, with the main objectives of overall of showcasing Nigeria’s rich agricultural potentials and attracting foreign investment to the agricultural sector.

The group briefed the Minister on the need to revive the event which has been held only once since inception in 2007.
