Commissioner for Information in Delta State, Mr Patrick Ukah, has called on Deltans to contribute immensely to the development of their places of origin as this is the surest way to leave their footprints on the sands of time.
Mr Ukah spoke at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Ebu in Oshimili North Local Government Area on Sunday during a thanksgiving service to celebrate the 25th years anniversary of late Prince Israel Amadi-Emina.
According to him, the advice to Deltans became imperative since the late Prince Amadi-Emina was instrumental to the development of Ebu Kingdom.
The Commissioner stated that the deceased lived an exemplary life, adding that his legacies could still be felt even after twenty five years he left the earth.
Wife of the deceased, Mrs Rose Amadi-Emina, said she missed the care, love and support of her husband.
In their tributes, the daughters of the deceased, described him as a humble and strict father whose training had impacted on them positively.
In a sermon, Rev. Fr. Christopher Ubah attributed the divisions in Christianity to the gospel of interfaith, stressing that most churches fragmented Christianity to suit their style.
He charged Christians to emulate Jesus Christ who identified with all, adding that Christ had given them the mandate to preach oneness.
Rev. Fr. Ubah said preachers of the gospel, on the parts, should preach the gospel of love and unity to rekindle the spirit of oneness among their members.
Highlight of the service was the thanksgiving session to commemorate the twenty five years of Prince Israel Amadi-Emina’s passing on.
