Reports reaching us indicate that Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has signed the 2017 Appropriation Bill into law.

Business Post gathered that the 2017 budget was assented to by Mr Amosun on Thursday in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Speaking while signing the bill at his Oke Mosan office, the Governor assured that despite known challenges, government would strive to achieve 100 percent implementation of the appropriation bill.

Mr Amosun also used the occasion to suggest to the leadership of the Ogun State House of Assembly led at the signing ceremony by the Speaker, Mr Suraj Adekunbi, that a date be fixed for the budget signing.

“Just like we have a date for budget presentation, I hope we can get to a situation where there can be a fixed date for budget signing too,” Governor Amosun said.
