MMM Crash: Operators React

By Modupe Gbadeyanka

Operators of the Ponzi scheme called MMM Nigeria have reacted to complaints by Nigerians over Tuesday’s announcement that participants of the programme will not be able to withdraw their money until next year.

In a tweet via its Twitter handle on Tuesday, @MMMNigeriaHelp, the operators stressed that they had severally warned Nigerians not to use their live savings for the scheme, but spare money.

“MMM has always advised that you use your spare money and spare money only. Don’t be unnecessarily greedy,” the tweet reads.

Nigerians woke up to a message from MMM administrators on Tuesday that it has suspended payment and withdrawal for one month.

This news has generated panic among some participants.
