In line with the Federal Government’s ‘Change Begins with Me’ campaign, the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing has charged its top management staff on the need to imbibe the change to a higher level of efficiency and service delivery as an integral part to the nation’s developmental course.

This was contained in the welcome address of the Permanent Secretary, Mr Louis Edozien, at the opening of A 2-Day Workshop, in collaboration with the SERVICOM   Office, on “Process Standardizations and Service Improvement – A key process to Achieve Effective Service Delivery’, in Abuja.

As operators of the engine of governance in delivering effective and efficient services to the public, the Permanent Secretary charged the staff to re-focus their approach to their schedules of duties in providing quality service in the way government business is conducted.

The objectives of the workshop was to inspire staff to be focused on the Mission, Vision and core values of the Ministry;  increase competence in citizen focused service delivery, improve knowledge on how to deliver set service standards, and Strengthening Effective Grievance Redress Mechanism.

In her presentation, National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli stated that SERVICOM would partner with the Ministry in delivering on its Mandate and reposition the Ministry towards a citizen focused service delivery, especially as the Ministry plays a key role in the nation’s drive to economic growth.
