The Kaduna Electric has ranked first in the recent safety ranking among the 11 electricity distribution companies in Nigeria.

The ranking was carried out by the Nigerian Electricity Management Services (NEMSA) and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

The two regulatory agencies are responsible for monitoring and evaluation of safety performance and compliance with industry safety standards as well as safe system of work.

In its reaction to the ranking, the management of Kaduna Electric said in a statement that, “This ranking shows clearly the safety efforts that have been put in place by Kaduna electric in-spite of having the largest network among the distribution companies.”

It added that, “Our objective is to maintain a high degree of both national and international safety standards for sustainable operations.”
