AAUA Orders Students To Resume Immediately

Authorities of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, have directed students of the institution to return to campus immediately.

In a circular issued on Tuesday by the school’s Registrar, Mr Michael Sunday Ayeerun, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Igbekele Amos Ajibefun, on behalf of the Senate, “approved that students should resume immediately for the remaining part of the Second Semester 2015/2016 academic session.”

Mr Ayeerun stated further that “lectures will commence on Monday, 17th October, 2016.”

According to him, “This directive is sequel to the suspension of the strike action embarked upon by the Adekunle Ajasin University Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) since July, 2016.”

He also said, “Students living on campus are expected to check into their respective halls of residence immediately.”

Concluding, the Registrar said, “All staff and students are to note the contents of this circular and ensure that the academic calendar is accomplished in the interest of the system.”
