President Muhammadu Buhari has been invited to appear before the National Assembly to explain to the legislative arm of government what he is doing to revive the country’s economy.

A motion was passed on Thursday, October 6, 2016 regarding this.

The Senate passed the motion in agreement with the House of Representatives.

Mr Buhari will be expected to address the National Assembly on steps being taken to get Nigeria out of recession.

The country’s economy has been on a free fall for a while now, with the inflation rate climbing at a high rate.

Costs of commodities in the market have also skyrocketed and many Nigerians are now languishing in pain.

Several people have also lost their jobs and more may also join the labour market, which is not ready to absorb them.
