Winner of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) finally emerged and it is Enugu Rangers International.

Rangers defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday to be crowned champions of the Nigerian league.

The Flying Antelopes, founded in 1970, clinched the coveted league title on the last day of the season after 32 years since winning the Old First Division in 1984.

Chison Egbuchulam scored the first goal of the encounter three minutes into the game from the spot after Bobby Clement’s shot at goal was blocked with a hand by an El-Kanemi player in the box.

Osas Okoro added another goal before the end of the first half.

At the resumption of the second stanza of the match, Egbuchulam continued his demolition of the Benue State outfit before adding another one to complete his hat trick.

Rangers finished the season with 63 points.
