Senate Swears-In Two New Members

Two new persons have been absolved into the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

The two new Senators, Isaac Alfa and Benjamin Uwajumogu, took their oaths of office on the floor of the Senate.

Mr Alfa is representing Kogi East senatorial district at the National Assembly. He won a rerun conducted in the district under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He is a former Chief of Air Staff.

On the part of Mr Uwajumogu, he was elected to represent Imo North senatorial district under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

They both pledged their allegiance to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
