Buhari Attends UN Session On Refugees, Migrants

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday was among guests present at the meeting of the United Nations in New York, USA.

Mr Buhari attended the opening of high Level Plenary Meeting on Addressing Movements of Refugees and Migrants.

The occasion was held at the UN Headquarters.

Also at the meeting with the President was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama; Governor of Zamfara, Mr Abubakar Yari and Minister of Interior, Mr Abdulrahman Dambazzau.

At the meeting, issues bordering on refugees and migrants from Africa were discussed.

Leaders from the continent were urged to ensure they provide basic amenities to their citizens so as to reduce the influx of people into Europe from Africa.
