A social networking platform for members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been launched.

Business Post learnt that the platform was launched by CardiNET.

The platform is www.Camp-Nigeria.Com.

According to founder of the website, Mr Ayo Kolawole, the platform was developed specifically to enhance interactivity between corps members, smart and total information, national integration, flexible entrepreneurial development and service year memories preservation.

He said, “There’s a high necessity to evolve smart ways to sustain NYSC scheme and even make it better with less resources going forward, this is our own initiative to support delivery, effectiveness and efficiency for our common good.”

Mr Kolawole explained that the platform reproduces the formation at the orientation camps (Year, State, Camp, Batch, Platoons, PPA) into an e-platform and creates unlimited chances for youths to connect at their own convenience.

He said further that, “It ensures zero information loss enabling corps members to access all information and needed lectures on the go, which they might have missed due to absence, loss of concentration, overcrowding or forgotten.”

The connection and friendship expected to be established at the orientation camps cannot be consolidated in the 2 weeks to which the programme has been reduced, from its initial four weeks. It takes different duration of time for different folks to drop their guards for real friendship, he said.

Mr Kolawole concluded that the new platform will help to preserve all camps and service year memories in a single online community, while also accommodating the entrepreneurial trainers and consultants, making them available and easily accessible to corps members.
