It was a sad occurrence on Wednesday when the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Plateau State, Mr Samuel Galadima, slumped and died.

According to reports, the Commissioner was jogging along with the state Governor, Mr Simon Lalong, at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.

Efforts made by medical personnel to prevent the man from giving up the ghost were futile as he died at the hospital.

It was gathered that immediately the Commissioner slumped, he was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, but gave up the ghost.

Confirming the incident, the Director of Press Affairs, Mr Emmanuel Nanle, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that, “Yes, the Commissioner slumped while jogging and was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where he died.

“Doctors tried to stabilise him but could not. We have lost him.”
