Abuah To Be Buried Friday In Abuja

The remains of Director of Information in the Presidency, Mr Onuorah Justin Abuah, will be laid to rest on Friday, September 16, 2016, in Abuja, the Presidency has disclosed.

A statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed that the interment will take place at the Apo Cemetery, after a funeral service at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral in Area 3, also in Abuja.

Mr Adesina noted in the statement that according to a burial programme released by family of the late journalist, the service starts at 10am.

On Thursday, September 15, 2016, Service of Songs and Night of Tributes will be held at the National Press Centre, Radio House, Herbert Macaulay Way, Area 10 in Garki, Abuja.

He said the Service of Songs will start at 5pm.

Mr Abuah, who was the Head of Department in the Media and Publicity Department in the State House, passed away in an Abuja hospital on August 14, 2016.

The late Director of Information worked in the Presidency for 30 years, serving eight Nigerian Heads of State, from 1986 -2016.
